Arboretum Family Dentistry offers the following:
In-House Laboratory
Arboritum Family Dentistry proud to utilize our own in-house dental laboratory, which is a true advantage over traditional dental offices. In most dental offices restorations (crowns, implant prosthesis, veneers) happens off-site, at Arboretum Family Dentistry person who will be making your tooth will meat you in person. Our patients are able to communicate any expectations and desires directly with the person making their teeth. With in-house laboratory we are able match shade and make custom alternations and modification right in the office. The in-house dental laboratory is especially helpful when creating complex dental rehabilitations and when matching natural teeth to porcelain/ceramic teeth. We are able to bring to each case extensive experience and consummate artistry, and most importantly, we provide those necessary little extras that take a successful case and make it even better.
3Shape TRIOS Digital scaner
We use 3Shape TRIOS to make digital impressions using superior scanning technology and create high-quality digital impressions in lifelike colors.
- LESS MESS
Rather than using goopy putty and trays to create impressions, the TRIOS scanner is a handheld wand that doesn’t trigger the gag reflex or create an inconvenient mess to create a mold. - LESS STRESS
Creating molds of different areas of your mouth could be quite a time-consuming and stressful process. With Trios technology the scanning process typically takes only five minutes, and it can be stopped and started as often as necessary. You will be able to breathe comfortably throughout the process. - FAST AND PRECISE
The use of digital scans leads to much better fits for treatment due to higher accuracy for TRIOS compared with conventional impressions and/or impressions made with other major intraoral scanners.
CBCT CONE BEAM COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHY –
Dental cone beam computed tomography (CT) is a special type of x-ray machine used in situations where regular dental or facial x-rays are not sufficient. This type of CT scanner uses a specific type of technology that allows for the generation of three dimensional (3-D) images of dental structures, soft tissues, nerve paths and bone in the craniofacial region in a single scan. Benefits for our patients include:
- Better image quality and accuracy. The cone beam CT zones in on a specific spot, allowing us to examine an area that is as small as a single tooth’s root. Images obtained with cone beam CT allow for more precise treatment planning.
- Images bone and soft tissues.
- A lower dose of radiation.
- Quick and painless.
PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin)
Platelet-Rich Fibrin is a restorative substance made from patients’ own blood. Platelets provide a natural source of growth factors; while fibrin is a protein that helps blood to clot. We use PRF in many dental procedures. It is a natural way to stimulate the growth of bone and soft tissue, which promotes faster healing (In most cases at least by half) and reduces the pain associated with necessary dental procedures. Additionally, this procedure involves no additives, so the membrane we create is completely biocompatible. This lowers the risk of complications.
Gemini Dental Laser
There are many benefits of a dental laser, which include:
- There is potentially a decreased need for sutures with soft tissue lasers.
- Bleeding is minimized in treated soft tissues, as the laser promotes blood clotting.
- With some procedures, anesthesia is unnecessary.
- The chance for bacterial infections is lower because the laser sterilizes the area.
- Wounds can heal faster, and it’s possible for tissue to regenerate.
- The procedures may involve less damage to the surrounding tissues.
The innovative Gemini laser makes procedures faster, smoother, and more efficient.
Air-Flow Therapy
A cutting edge technology designed to gently, quietly and thoroughly remove stain and biofilm. The complete biofilm removal leading to better clinical outcomes. Air-Flow Therapy utilizes erythritol to safely inhibit bacterial growth, remove teeth stains, and promote whole-body health.
It’s safe: Air-Flow therapy is gentle on the enamel of natural teeth, gum tissue and any restorative materials, so it won’t cause damage to any surface. Air-Flow therapy is great for patient with braces or orthodontic hardware and is safe to use on children.
It’s comfortable: With the fine grain powder, it just feels like water is being sprayed on the gums instead of chunky, gritty material you might expect (and dislike) during your cleaning.
INTRAORAL CAMERAS –
An intraoral camera is an advanced tool to examine your mouth in as detailed a way as possible. The instrument has a camera that takes high-resolution images of a patient’s mouth and allows the dentist and the patient to see these images in real-time on a monitor.
Intraoral cameras possess many high-tech features. With LED lighting, a rotating head and powerful magnifying capabilities, the dentist can examine the patient’s mouth, detecting even minute details. Benefits to our patients include:
- More accurate diagnosis
- We can attach photos to your health record to track any changes.
- Provides better understanding and break-down of diagnosis and treatment for our patients.
